December 2, 2021 The Center for Natural Resources and Sustainability at DKU launched the project “Training for Government Officials from Central Asia on Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus”. This project is supported by The USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity.
Objective of the project:
Improve the skills of government representatives through training with regional experts in the field of natural resource management.
Project beneficiaries:
Mid-level civil servants (at the level of heads of departments/divisions) participating and/or contributing to the formation of national policy in the field of water, energy or food security.
Expected results of the project:
The project will directly contribute to achieving the goals of The USAID Regional Water and Vulnerable Environment Activity through:
a) Developing the capacity of politicians and civil servants of ministries and departments of the Central Asian countries at the regional, national and local levels;
b) Using a “train the trainers” approach to ensure the sustainability, replication and scaling of the project.
