The Kazakh-German University in Almaty, World Energy & Meteorology Council, UN World Meteorological Organization, World Bank, UNECE, RSE “Kazhydromet”, and selected partners, organized the online training course for policy makers and practioners from Central Asia (21, 23, 25, 28 February, and 2, 4 March 2022.).

In this course the participants learnt about the impacts of weather and climate on energy systems, and their importance in ensuring effective and efficient uptake of renewable, clean energy sources. They acquired theoretical knowledge and practical tools to design and deliver their own weather and climate service, working in small teams. Hearing from leading experts, the participants learnt about real-world applications of weather and climate services and best practice approaches to enhance knowledge and build capacity.
